"Food for Thought"

Loving words come from one who sincerely empathizes with another. This always makes the recipient feel deeply appreciative. (#17)

When you know there are happy and unhappy occasions in life, you can recognize the seeds of happiness in unhappy events (#20)

The best way to show acceptance towards others is with your natural smiling face. You may also show this by listening sincerely to a person. (#15)

Never forget your shortcomings. Humility and honesty are essential to human development.(#26)

It is important to have a strong belief in whatever you do and to face your work with firm confidence.(#9)

This is what is called "open heart" acceptance.(#16)

The road to peace is not smooth and easy, nor is there a shortcut for it. The only road to peace is endurance.(#33)

Attachment to the past always brings suffering. Because nothing is permanent and everything can change, you are able to transform misfortune into something better.(#1)

It is true that “nothing is permanent.” So “now “is very important, as is compassion to others.(#8)

When you do something helpful for others, you feel happy yourself. (#38)

Sometimes you regret your past or worry about an unknown future, or you judge other people to be useless. But if you concentrate and put your effort into your work, you can feel so satisfied and peaceful. (#69)

You should not simply criticize society. Instead, try changing your philosophy and view. When you change your thinking, everything changes for the better.(#2)

When you greet someone with a warm, smiling face you usually get a prositihatresponse. This helps create a peaceful atmosphere. It is always great to initiate this yourself! You can bring harmony to people. (#18)

The most important aspect of education is to teach children to become useful citizens who contribute to society. We must repeatedly teach children this so that it sinks into their consciousness. (#11)

When you hope for other people's happiness, you become very fulfilled and your attitude toward everything starts to change. When you start putting others before yourself, this becomes a natural buddhist practice. Then, everyday life evolves in a positive direction. (#30)
